Brandon Zimmerman Obituary

Brandon Zimmerman

Luxemburg - Brandon A. Zimmerman, 28, of Luxemburg, departed this life on Tuesday, March 6, 2018.

Brandon was born on November 24, 1989 in Green Bay, son of Andy and Chris (Spude) Zimmerman. He was a graduate of Luxemburg Casco High School class of 2008.

Brandon was a wonderful, sweet, caring, person. He loved spending time with his family, especially his brothers. He was a huge sports fan and didn't want to miss a Packer game. He enjoyed being outdoors enjoying the beauties of nature. He loved sunsets and music and touched the hearts of many people. He will be deeply missed. With each sunset we can find peace in knowing he is now free of the pain of addiction. Brandon was not his addiction. He was a loving, kind soul who had a disease and fought a hard fight.

His memory will live on with his parents Andy and Chris and two brothers, Tyler and Devon. His grandparents, Beverly Zimmerman; Larry (LouAnn) Zimmerman and great grandmother, Evelyn Cook, along with aunts, uncles, cousins, and many friends. Brandon is preceded in death by three brothers, Joshua, Justin, and Jared, grandparents, Roland and Marie Spude, aunt, Theresa Spude.

All services were held privately and at the convenience of the family. Newcomer - Green Bay Chapel has been entrusted with arrangements. To leave a memory of Brandon please visit www.NewcomerGreenBay.com.

Brandon's family wishes to express their heartfelt thanks for the care and assistance given to Brandon by the staff of the Jackie Nitschke Center of Green Bay throughout his recovery journey. In his honor memorial contributions may be directed to the Jackie Nitschke Center of Green Bay.

I talked with Brandon while we were both at J.N.C. He was such a compassionate young man. You have my deepest sympathies.

I spent time with Brandon during his time of sobtiety. He was loving, caring, funny, and a man with a smile I will never forget. I know he had struggles but the struggle does not define the man. He will be missed. My condolences to the family. And he will never be forgotten.

Our lives may be short,
Our lives may be long,
But we're always remembered
After we're gone.
Addiction may change us
To where our lives aren't the same,
It doesn't define us,
No person is to blame.
There's a place in heaven
For an angel to stand in,
It is now taken by
A blessing called Brandon.
May the happy memories help you through this difficult time. God bless.
