Cameron Sutton McCain

Green Bay - Cameron Sutton "Mac" McCain, age 86, of Green Bay, passed away Friday, April 9, 2021 with his wife of 62 years at his side. He was born April 13, 1934 in New Holstein, WI, son of the late John and Dorothy (Dunlap) McCain and was a graduate of Oshkosh High School.

Mac continued his education at UW-LaCrosse where he earned his Bachelor's Degree in Physical Education. Cameron was an avid sports fan and loved to cheer on his Packers and Cubs. He also enjoyed many outdoor activities, including fishing and golfing.

Cameron is survived by his wife, Sandra; his children: Karla McCain, Molly (Bryan Baeten) McCain and Martin McCain; numerous grand-furbabies; sister-in-law, Maureen McCain; and close friend, Anna (De La Rosa) Jauregui.

He was preceded in death by his son, Douglas McCain and 2 siblings, John McCain and Carolyn McCain.

Mac was a wonderful lifelong friend. Have thought a lot about our friendship in the last couple weeks and am realizing more and more how wonderful it was to be friends with him. I was so fortunate to have him in my life, and will always have those memories.

I am sorry for your loss. My memories of Mr. McCain are from the Y Day Camp - an imposing and very kind man, who I’m certain left a positive impression on many other young campers! May loving memories surround each of you during this difficult time.

Cameron was such a super guy to work with on projects for both Allouez and Ashwaubenon. I will always remember him and Sandy as great friends. Sharon and I will pray for you Sandy in this time of grief. God Bless you and your family and may Cameron rest in peace.

Sandy and kids,
Some of our fondest memories of Karl St. were of the many chats we shared with you and Cam. He was such a sweetheart! You were all terrific neighbors. We hold you in our hearts as you navigate this difficult transition.
