Daniel Van Boxel Obituary
Daniel Andrew Van Boxel, 71, passed away peacefully on March 4, 2017, with his family by his side. He was born in Green Bay on July 19, 1945, to the late William and Gladys (Hendrickson) Van Boxel. On August 8, 1969, he married Joan Kitts. Daniel served as a medic in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. Later he was employed by Schreiber Foods until his retirement. Daniel was an avid outdoorsman who loved to hunt and fish with his brothers, nephews, and many friends at their cabin in Popple River, WI. The highlights of his life were spending time with his children and grandchildren.
He is survived by his two children, Hope (Brad) Nesper, Brillion, WI, Jacob Van Boxel, Green Bay; his three grandchildren, Andrew, Braedy, and Lily; one brother, David (Sandy) Van Boxel, Eagle River, WI; two sisters, Mickey (Don) LaFortune, Jean Pokorny, all of Green Bay; two sisters-in-law, Ginger Van Boxel, Karen Van Boxel, both of Green Bay; along with many nieces and nephews.
Daniel was preceded in death by his wife Joan; parents, William and Gladys Van Boxel; two sisters, Carol Hathaway and Joan Orde; three brothers, Ronald Van Boxel, William Van Boxel, and Bernard Van Boxel; nieces Lori Barr and Jody Orde; nephew Joe Orde; and his brother-in-law, David Pokorny.
Friends may gather at St. Mary of the Angels, 645 S. Irwin Ave, on Tuesday, March 7, 2017, from 9:00 a.m. until the time of Funeral Mass at 11:00 a.m. at the church, Rev. Anthony Cirignani, O.F.M. will preside. Entombment will be in the Allouez Chapel Mausoleum. Online condolences may be sent to the family at www.prokowall.com.

Hope and Jake my thoughts and prayers are with you. I'm very sorry I can't be there in person. The last time I visited your dad at his house he still made me laugh he has a great soul you were very Blessed to have him . He is with your Mom now.
