Edward Petrash Obituary
Edward "Poky" Petrash, age 72 of Mountain, passed away on Monday, August 28, 2017. Poky was born on March 23, 1945 in Iron Mountain, MI.
Poky worked for many years in maintenance, working at Seneca Foods in Gillett until retiring in 2015. He loved working in his shop and playing his guitar. Poky was involved in charity events for the community, sponsoring the "Poky Swim" at Water's Edge on Anderson Lake for 12 years.
Poky is survived by his long time companion of 25 years, Alice Weller; son, Colt (Rosemary Maier) Petrash; identical twin granddaughters, Daisy and Lilly born on August 11, 2017. Poky made the birth of his first 2 grandchildren, news he eagerly awaited.
A Celebration of Life for Poky will be held on Wednesday, September 6, 2017 at Water's Edge on Anderson Lake (12058 Highway 32, Suring, WI 54174) from 1 pm until a prayer service at 3 pm. Gruetzmacher Funeral Home in Suring is assisting the family with arrangements. Online condolences can be expressed at www.gruetzmacherfuneralhome.com.
