Frank Butz Obituary

Butz, Frank

Frank Butz, 90, of Green Bay, died Friday, July 12, 2013. He was born on October 7, 1922 in Little Suamico to the late Sebastian and Anna Butz.

On October 17, 1944 Frank married Virginia Sadowski. Frank served his country in the U.S. Navy in 1945 and later he purchased a tavern in Little Suamico and operated it for ten years with his wife Virginia. Later he moved to Green Bay and was a foreman for Renard Machine Company until his retirement. Frank loved his pet poodle "Taffy", and he loved all sports especially the Green Bay Packers and the Milwaukee Brewers. Frank also loved fishing and hunting. He enjoyed working in his garden, flowers, fruit trees and his backyard. Frank was an usher for St. Jude Catholic Church for many years.

Frank is survived by his wife Virginia; one brother, Edward; and many nieces, nephews, and a special niece, Renee (John) Penzenstadler.

Frank was preceded in death by his parents; his brothers, Sebastian, Jr., Andrew, Anton, Joe, John, and Walter; and his sisters, Mary, Vicky, Frances, and Stella.

Friends may call at Blaney Funeral Home, 1521 Shawano Ave., on Wednesday from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. A funeral service will be held at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home with Pastoral Associate Ann Froelich officiating. Burial will be in St. Benedict Catholic Cemetery in Suamico.
