Anita,
I am so sorry to hear of Gary's death. I can only imagine how lonely you are. Forty five years with a special love by your side is a difficult wonderful feeling to loose. He remains with you, however, and watches over you.
Don and I keep you in our prayers. Remember "But the souls of the righteous are in the hand of God, and no torment will ever touch them. In the eyes of the foolish they seem to have died, and their departure was thought to be a disaster, and their going from us to be their destruction; but they are at peace."

My condolences to the family of my classmate from West High '63 and the brother of my dear friend Bonnie Haverkorn. May you find peace in the love of our Lord. Reading the beautiful obituary here I can tell he had a beautiful life and will be sorely missed by many.

Dear Anita, Rob, & Garrick,
The memories come flooding back starting with my first encounter with Gary at Calvary choir practice. Gary asked the new guy from Ohio if he was going deer hunting. I answered "I don't have a place to go yet," to which Gary replied, "Well, you do now." We've spent many great years on the Torkelson farm and the "40" since and giving the choir director a hard time when home. :--)) God's choir surely got a boost with the addition of Gary. May God bless you all with the peace and joy of knowing Gary has finished the race and will greet us when our turn comes.
With warmest regards,
