Jeremy Sagen Obituary
Jeremy Paul Sagen, 42, formerly of Green Bay, WI and Atlanta, GA passed away peacefully on May 31, 2017 after a nine year battle with brain cancer.
He was born on October 23, 1974 to Larry and Debra (Cawley) Sagen in Eau Claire, WI. He graduated from East High School in Green Bay in 1992 and obtained both his BS and MS degrees in Environmental Engineering from the University of Illinois at Champaign- Urbana. He was employed by Global Environmental Solutions, Inc., Marietta, GA in their air permitting division.
Jeremy was an Eagle Scout and also enjoyed music, camping and horseback riding as he grew up. He had a great love for his pets including Darth Vader, Garfield, Magee, Shadow, Rocky and a special pet friend Murphy to name a few. He was a very independent person who loved craft beers, a good Scotch, good foods and hiking parts of the Appalachian Trail. He was also a big Green Bay Packers fan and proudly wore his Packer attire in Illinois and Georgia.
Jeremy is survived by his parents Larry Sagen of Eau Claire, WI and Debra Cawley (Bill Martin) of Suamico, WI as well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents Lawrence and Melva Sagen of Pigeon Falls and Donald and Rosemary Cawley of Sussex, WI.
A graveside service will be held for the immediate family at the Pigeon Creek Evangelical Lutheran Church Cemetery in Pigeon Falls at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the Cancer Society, Boy Scouts or your local animal shelter.
The Family wishes to thank the caring staff at Dove Healthcare in Osseo and Mayo Hospice.
