My thoughts and prayers are with all of you. Jean, Linda, Dan and Mike.
I was so shocked and saddened to stumble upon this today. I've been looking for you on Facebook Linda for quite some time.
I remember your dad as a policeman when my parents rented from yours during our childhood. He was always a powerful man in my little 6 year old eyes. May you live with your memories and keep the love in your hearts.

So sorry for the loss of Uncle Jerry- always so kind, with a big smile on his face, I can still hear his laugh and see the mix drink in hand during the holidays at Grandma and Grandpa Berken's big white house. You are all in my thoughts, much love, Carla (Berken) Duevel.

My memory takes me to the cool old house in Milwaukee. Your dad coming home in his policeman uniform. I seem to remember him us his weapons. Us kids were in awe and impressed. Compared to Cedarburg were we certainly didn't want to see a policeman at any distance. He was a firm and now understand You turned out to be great parents! Oh and Jerry did have a great sense of humor. One day doing dishes I was washing and Linda drying. The back of a plate had some big spots and Jerry says "well we don't eat off back". I wish he was reminiscing with us. I know he would have a lot of happy stories that we didn't about. Oh and camping. I love you all. I hold a vision of him sailing the blue waters out of sight. Paradise is waiting his arrival. Faith got me through the loss of your aunt Pat and uncle Jim. Be good to yourselves and make a happy memory each day. Hope we connect in the near future.
