For John, love was a verb-- not something you just feel, but something you DO for people. The world will miss this strong, just, and caring man who raised his sons to be real men. Everyone whose lives he touched are much the better for it. Our loss is surely Heaven's gain. We cannot begin to comprehend the struggle he went through, but I feel I learned something about my outlook on life (and life in general) in the bargain. His battle is over, and now there is peace. Until we meet again, John....

I missed an opportunity to get together with John after forty years last summer. I will regret that for the rest of my life but I will remember the times we had in high school and as first room mates following graduation. Pam, I'm here for you and the family. Sorry for your loss.

Pam and family,
Please know that I am praying for all of you. Pam, you have been such a support for me and many others all the while you were going through the same sadness that we were. You and John have been my rocks and my inspiration. The love that you shared is epic and will always be. I am so very sorry that we lost John. I know that his faith and love has him resting in the arms of the Lord. I am always here if and when you need me. You have seen me through so much and I will be here to help in any way possible

Our dear nephew ,John, was a wonderful Christian man whose life was an example of his belief in the Lord. He was welcomed home by the Lord and all those family members who preceded him. What a home coming. We shall greatly miss him and his sense of humor. God be with Pam and their family. Aunt Judy and Uncle Bob

John and I where friends at Premontre H.S. There were only a few of us that actually paid our own way through Premontre. That is how John and I became friends there. John was proud of that fact.
So sorry to hear of John's passing.

This Bible verse reminds me of John:
2 Timothy 4:7
New American Standard Bible (NASB)
"7 I have fought the good fight, I have finished the course, I have kept the faith;"
Throughout John's illness he remained a faithful servant of our Lord, witnessing and sharing the gospel. I always said "John will be witnessing until his final breath", and he did. He was a very dear and special friend. We will always remember what a blessing he has been in our lives.
