Sachse, Peter

Peter Sachse, 67, De Pere, passed away Sunday, Dec. 30, 2012, at home. The son of the late Rudolph and Maria Anne (Dierl) Sachse was born Oct. 3, 1945, in Goslar, Germany. He and his family immigrated to the United States early in life. Peter served in the U.S. Coast Guard and met his wife while serving in Sturgeon Bay. He and the former Nancy Sagen were married in Lena. She preceded him in death in 1990. Peter worked as a paramedic in California and Oregon for many years. He enjoyed tinkering with scanners, electronics and aviation.

Survivors include his two daughters, Jacqueline (Matt) Van Oss, Denmark; and Jeanette (Mark) Ver Haagh, Greenleaf; five grandchildren, Dustin, Zachary, Lauren, Jacob, Jameson; one brother, Christopher Sachse, Beaumont, Calif.

Family and friends may call at RYAN FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORY, De Pere from 1 to 4 p.m. on Friday Jan. 4, 2013. Funeral services will be held at 4 p.m. on Friday with Pastor Cain of St. John Lutheran Church, De Pere, officiating.

The family extends a special thank you to the staff at Birch Creek Assisted Living for their care and compassion.

My sympathy to all of you I got to know Peter when I was a Housekeeper at Birch for a year. He was such a wonderful person, I always enjoyed our conversations, May God's Grace and Mercy be with you
