Roger Kanzenbach Obituary

Kanzenbach, Roger

Roger F. Kanzenbach, 70, Cecil, died Sunday morning, July 1, 2012 following an eight-year illness with chronic lymphomic leukemia. The son of Arthur and Marian (Morris) Kanzenbach was born July 18, 1941 in Green Bay and was a 1959 graduate of Pulaski High School. On October 7, 1967 he married Jean Wawiorka at St. Casimir Church in Krakow. The couple farmed on the family farm for over 50 years.

Roger enjoyed going to the stock car races at Seymour and Shawano. He liked polka music and feeding the birds.

Survivors include his wife of over 44 years, Jean; his children, Laura (John) Kalbes of Suring, Ken Kanzenbach of Cecil, Sarah Kanzenbach of LaCrosse, Mark (Erin) Kanzenbach of Pulaski, and Angela (Ryan) VanCleve of Marinette; three grandchildren; Logan Kalbes of Suring, Alex and Henry Kanzenbach of Pulaski; an uncle, Kermit (Esther) Morris, Cecil; and aunt, Lily Bennet of Bonduel; a sister-in-law, Nancy (Ambrose) Kowalczyk, Green Bay.

He was preceded in death by his parents; an infant brother, David; his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Casey (Jeanette) Wawiorka; a brother-in-law, Dale Wawiorka, several aunts, uncles and cousins.

Friends may call at Marnocha Funeral Home, Pulaski from 4:00 - 7:00 p.m. Thursday, with the Wake Service at 7:00 p.m. Visitation continues at 9:00 a.m. Friday at St. Casimir Church, W146 Park St., Krakow. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Friday at the church, Fr. James Esser, O.F.M. presiding. Burial will take place in St. Anthony Cemetery, Oconto Falls.
