Sergeant Baseman Obituary
Wetumka, OK - It is with great saddness that we announce the death of, Sergeant Christopher Daniel Baseman, 33 of Wetumka Oklahoma. He went to Gods loving arms after a fatal car accident August 28, 2018. Christoher was born in Green Bay Wi December 5, 1984 to Richard D. Baseman and Carrie C. (Baseman) Keyes. Christopher knew what he wanted to persue in life from an early age, with perseverance he made his dream come true. Christopher always spoke about his career with great enthusiasm, and passion. Christopher worked at North Fork Correctional Facility in Sayre Oklahoma for many years, then went on to work at Davis Correctional Facility in Holdenville Oklahoma, where he was loved and respected. Christopher was more than a SGT to many at Davis Correctional Facility, he was a true friend, brother and mentor. Christopher received his "Last Call" on August 31, 2018.
He is survived by, his precious daughter, Andrea Pink Calvert, Samantha Wright, fiance, Samantha and Christopher truely loved each other and were best friends, his parents, Richard D. Baseman and Carrie C.(Baseman) Keyes, sister, Kendyl (Baseman)Brown, brother in law, Colin Brown, nephew, Carter Grimes, who Christopher lovingly referred to, as "his little buddy," grandfather, Daniel Baseman, Aunts and Uncles, cousins, and longtime friend Matt Stutleen.
Predeceased include, great grandmother (Nana) Eva Keyes, grandmother, Marilyn Baseman, grandmother, Judith Buettner. We will be forever grateful for the love that was shown to Christopher by Samantha and her family. Christopher, you will forever be loved and missed.
Services were held in Wetumka Oklahoma.

My dearest Christopher, you are in Gods loving arms now, surrounded by all of our loved ones who have passed before you. You had the biggest heart, I know how much you loved me son, as well as the everlasting, unconditional love I have for you. God must have needed you for something greater than here on earth. I know you'll be there to greet me when God calls me home, so until then, fly high my angel, like I used to say; mom loves you to heaven & back!!! XXOO

Dearest Carrie, Kendyl, and Rick,

Chris you were loved by so many in our family. You came along and it was like you belonged to us and that you should have been with us long before you were. I will never forget Sammie and your first date. She was shy, scared and excited. I have never seen her look at anyone the way she looked at you that night. Oh yeah, and sorry about crashing that date... I loved you from that night on. I knew you were meant to be together. I also have never seen her love the way she loved you. You were a beautiful soul that can not be replaced. Gonna miss our steak dinners at Texas Roadhouse.
