XENIA — April Lynn Poole, age 50, of Xenia, went Home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, December 26, 2017 following a lengthy battle with Sickle Cell Anemia. She was born January 9, 1967 in Xenia. She was preceded in death by her mother: Margaret Louise Poole; her father: Louis Leroy Lane; and brothers: Timothy, Louis and Richard Lane. April is survived by her son and light of her life: Mario LaShaun Spencer of Xenia; sisters: Julie Lacy, Roxanne (Mark) Grattan, Denise (Calvin) Harding, Robin Lane, Paulette Collins, Lynda Lane, Brett Lane and Marlene (Dwight) McDowell; brothers: Dino Mabry and Jackie Lane; honorary brother: Sam; special friend: Tina Willis; numerous nieces and nephews; great-nieces and great nephews; cousins; other family members and friends. She was a graduate of Xenia High School. She was employed at Toward Independence and previously worked at Hospitality Homes. She was loved by all and will be greatly missed. Funeral services will be held 12 Noon Thursday, January 4, 2018 at Zion Baptist Church, 565 E. Main St., Xenia with Pastor Gary Chapman officiating. She will be interred at Cherry Grove Cemetery.
