XENIA — Audrey Louise (Brown) McDowell, age 94, of Xenia, OH passed away on Thursday, June 8, 2023 at her daughter's residence. She was born on July 5, 1928 in Jamestown, OH to the late Leroy Madison "Mack" and Ada Elizabeth (Montgomery) Brown. Audrey is survived by her children: Judy (Garry) Riffe of Beavercreek, Jerrilee Ford of Xenia, and Jan (Ray) Bailey of Xenia; grandchildren: Shane T. (Donell) Ford of Circleville, Jeremy Jacks of Xenia, and Kristin (Brandon) Lane of Beavercreek; great granddaughters: Shalynn and Payton Ford; great grandsons: Dylan Carter, Hunter Seaton, Kyler Morgan Lane, Landon Carter, Jaydon Lane, and Brayton Lane; brother: Harold L. (Janet) Brown; sisters-in-law: Kim Brown and Mary McDowell; and many other nieces, nephews, other family members and special friends. In addition to her parents, Audrey was preceded in death by her husband: Morgan D. McDowell; 4 brothers, and 3 sisters. Audrey was a 1946 graduate of Xenia High School. She retired as a Finance Clerk at the former O.S.&S.O. Home after 25 years. Audrey was a faithful Christian and member of Jamestown Friends Meeting. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. Audrey loved bowling, square dancing with the Xenia Hospitality Squares, camping, crocheting, and gardening. Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 PM on Friday, June 16, 2023 at Jamestown Friends Meeting. Interment will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery, Bowersville, OH. Friends may call from 5:00-7:00 PM on Thursday, June 15, at McColaugh Funeral Home, Xenia. Memorial contributions may be made to: Jamestown Friends Meeting, 48 E. Washington St., Jamestown, OH 45335.
