XENIA — Charles Whitmer "Pete" Combs, age 87, of Xenia passed away Friday, January 3, 2025 at Shawnee Estates. Pete was born February 2, 1937 in Xenia the son of Paul and Winifred (Cross) Combs. Pete is survived by his wife, Mary Catherine "Cathy" Combs, whom he married April 22, 2010; sisters: Barb Shaw and Pat Hamilton and a son and daughter; as well as many friends. The family would also like to acknowledge a special niece, Jackie Foster, for always being there when Pete needed her. Pete was a 1955 Graduate of Xenia High School and proudly served in the US Navy. He retired from the Chrysler Corp where he had worked over 25 years. Pete enjoyed running and biking with his wife.
