XENIA — Dorothy Wilson, age 80, of Port William, Ohio, passed away Saturday, April 3, 2021 at her daughter's residence with her family by her side. She was born June 9, 1940 in Xenia, the daughter of Elwin and Viola Merriman. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband: Kenneth Wilson; and a brother: Marvin Merriman. She is survived by her children: Deborah (Keith) Elswick; Luetta (Kenneth) NewKirk; Katherine (Walter) Scott; Joyce (Craig) Edwards and Sharon (William) Bradley; 12 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren and a great great grandchild; a brother-in-law: Marvin Wilson; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Dorothy was a good Christian woman and member of the Ledbetter Road Church of God. She had a great love for her family and always put them first. She enjoyed playing cards with her family, reading, sudoku and word search puzzles. She was the world's best babysitter and loved rocking her babies to sleep. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association. Public visitation will be held 12 Noon -1 PM on Thursday, April 8, 2021 at McColaugh Funeral Home, 826 N. Detroit St., Xenia, OH. She will be buried privately at Valley View Memorial Gardens. Online condolences may be made to the family @ www.mccolaughfuneralhome.com. Due to the COVID19 statewide mandate, social distancing and mask will be required.
