Gloria Pitstick Obituary

XENIA — Gloria H. Pitstick, 99, of Xenia, passed away on Monday, June 6, 2022 at 10:53 P.M. at Shawnee Estates, Xenia. She was born March 30, 1923, in Dayton, Ohio, the daughter of Howard and Mable DeWine Hamma. She was a member of St. Paul Catholic Church, Yellow Springs and Saint Brigid Catholic Church, Xenia. Gloria held fond memories of growing up in Yellow Springs, working at her father's and Uncle's business, The Dewine and Hamma Feed and Seed Company. It was there that she met her husband to be, Carl Pitstick, who worked as a salesman at the time. They soon married and had two children, Julieanne and Mark. She is survived by a son, Mark H. Pitstick, Xenia, grandchildren, Evan Pitstick, and Logan Pitstick, She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Carl A. Pitstick, on October 27, 2004, a daughter, Julianne Tummel, and by a sister, Louise Galliger. Gloria will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. Private services will be held by the family in St. Paul Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Hospice of Dayton, 324 Wilmington Ave., Dayton, OH, 45420, in her memory.
