FAIRBORN — Kathleen (Kathy) A. Spicuzza of Fairborn, Ohio, age 64, passed away on August 14, 2024 at 12:45am, at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center . She was born on May 4, 1960 in Dayton, Ohio. Kathy was the daughter of John and Helen (Kleiner) Spicuzza of Fairborn, Ohio. She was preceded in death by her father John Spicuzza, sister Peggy Jaime, brother-in-law Rex Willett and lifelong friend Dottie Beverly. Kathy is survived by her mother, Helen Spicuzza, and siblings John (Beth) Spicuzza, Debbie Willett, Sandi (Bart) Chess, Patty (Ray) Marcano, Brenda Spicuzza (Michael Orr), Mary (Paul) Lanese, and Michelle Kennedy, 23 nieces and nephews and 20 great nieces and nephews, and devoted family friends Sandy Nabozny and Betsy Guehl. Kathy graduated from Fairborn Baker High School in 1978, where she participated in field hockey, basketball and softball. She was an avid Ohio State and Bengals football fan. Kathy had a career in medical billing before starting her own business as a Juice Plus Partner. She was a devout Christian and participated in bible studies weekly. She was a spiritual guiding inspiration to many. Kathy loved animals and owned many dogs and cats throughout her lifetime. She was very passionate about animal welfare and loved all the animals she met. Despite her challenges and difficulties, she was resilient and always had a positive attitude. Kathy was a beautiful daughter, sister, aunt, great aunt, cousin, and friend. Her laughter, smile, and kindness will be missed by all who knew and loved her. A funeral service will be held at 6:00 P.M., Friday, August 23, 2024, at the Belton-Stroup Funeral Home, 422 E. Dayton-Yellow Springs Rd., Fairborn, OH 45324. The family will receive friends from 4:00 P.M., until the time of service. No burial will take place as her remains will be cremated. In lieu of flowers, please donate to SICSA Pet Adoption Center or Humane Society of Greater Dayton in Kathy's memory.
