Lorna Joyce Hansen

1928 - 2020

FAIRBORN — Lorna Joyce (Durrant) Hansen, age 92 of Fairborn, passed away December 2, 2020. She was born May 27, 1928 in Provo, Utah, the daughter of the late Clarence H. and Evelyn M. (Hinckley) Durrant. Lorna was a longtime member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Fairborn. She enjoyed researching genealogy, quilting, sewing, and gardening; and was a member of the Iris Association, the New England Historic Genealogical Society, Daughters of the American Revolution, and Daughters of the Utah Pioneers. Lorna volunteered at Family Services at WPAFB for many years where she donated hundreds of hand-made quilts and other items for infant layettes. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Einar I. Hansen; grandson, Michael J. Morgan; brothers, John L., David R., Stephen H., L. Joel, C. Russell, sister, Mary E.; and infant sister, Christine. Lorna is survived by six children, Karen M. Hansen-Morgan, Evelyn R. (David R.) Zielke, Karl C. Hansen, Russell L. Hansen, John C. (Carol A.) Hansen, and Benjamin D. (Betty J. Fisher) Hansen; 22 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and sister, S. Carolyn Calkins. A private service will be held by the family.
