JAMESTOWN — Nancy Marie Pitstick, age 82, of South Solon, passed away on Saturday, September 9, 2017 at 1:35 a.m. at Madison Health in London, Ohio. She was born on May 4, 1935 in Madison County to the late Robert and Myrtle Gahm Shoemaker. She was a 1953 graduate of Jamestown High School. Nancy had worked for the Terra Nitrogen Company for several years but more importantly, she was mother to her three boys. She was a long time member of the Sedalia Church of Christ in Christian Union. She enjoyed shopping, traveling, and being with her family and grandchildren. Survivors include her children, Mark (Nicole Carey) Pitstick, Neil (Betsy) Pitstick, and Mike Pitstick; grandchildren, Abbygail, Madison, Emma, and Natalie Pitstick, Lindsay Houck, Joshua (Heather Goldsberry) Pitstick, Nick Pitstick, and Josh and Phillip Carey; great-grandchildren, Alexis and Hannah Houck, and Morgan and Cameron Pitstick. Also surviving are several cousins and a host of friends. The funeral service will be held on Friday, September 15, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at the Sedalia Church of Christ with Rev. Gordon Ell officiating with burial to follow at the South Solon Cemetery. Friends may visit at the church, 60 South Street, Sedalia, Ohio 43151, on Thursday evening from 6-8:00 p.m. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Summers Funeral Home. To Mark Pitstick, I am so sorry for the loss of your mother. I am thinking and praying for you to have peace and comfort, times like these are so hard, but remember this, she is in no more pain, no more sleepless nights and a brand new body.
