Regina Daley Obituary

FAIRBORN — Regina Louise Daley, age 91 of Fairborn, passed away peacefully, surrounded by loving family, Monday, January 6, 2025, at Danbury - Tipp City Senior Living. She was born August 16, 1933, in Victor, IA, the daughter of the late Arthur and Margaret (DeNeve) Berscheid. Regina's journey through life was marked by devotion, compassion, and a deep love for her family and community. She dedicated many years of her life to serving the children of her community as a school bus driver for the Lynchburg-Clay Local School District, where she took joy in driving her own children to school. Her commitment continued as she drove for the Milan School District and Wilmington City Schools, always with a smile and a caring word for each child that stepped onto her bus. Regina was a devoted wife, loving mother and adoring grandmother. Her nurturing spirit extended beyond her immediate family, touching the lives of many. Known for her kind, charismatic personality, Regina was a member of the Women's Help Group at Mary Help of Christians Parish and enjoyed many hobbies including sewing, counted cross-stitching, crocheting, crafting, traveling, and reading. Regina's love for nature reflected in her dedication as a avid gardener. This nurturing spirit was a hallmark of her character, embodying the essence of a woman whose heart and hands were always helping others. One of her proudest accomplishments was traveling to all 50 states with her beloved husband Raymond. Among the many places they explored, she held a special fondness for Alaska, a testament to her adventurous spirit and desire to experience the beauty of the world around her. Regina, the oldest of 13 children, is preceded in death by her parents, one brother and three sisters. She is survived by her devoted husband of 70 years, Raymond Earl Daley; seven (7) children, Margaret (Shane) Shilt, Rena (Larry) Kirk, Julia (Robert) Fox, Mark Daley, Sarah Daley, Earl (Cynthia) Daley, Ellen (Geoffrey) Harper; eleven (11) grandchildren, Troy Shilt, Amy McCoy, Kimberly (Timothy) House, Amy (Jarrod) Boyd, Rachel Fox, Emily (Kris) Valas, Raymond (Sarah) Daley, Danielle Daley, Nicole (Martin) Roskoski, Aaron Daley, Maia Daley; eleven (11) great-grandchildren, as well as extended family and friends.
