XENIA — Ricky Spivey, 57, of West Locust St., passed away Wednesday, March 18, 2015 at the UK Chandler Medical Center. Ricky, the son of the late Charles and Melva Williams Spivey, was born on January 31, 1958 in Dayton, Ohio. He retired from Whittaker Farms in Lexington as the Farm Manger. He enjoyed fishing, camping, grilling and simply being outdoors. He was of the Christian faith. On January 4, 1975, Ricky united in marriage to Karen Lucinda Liming Spivey. They recently celebrated 40 years of marriage. Other survivors include: two sons: Joe (& LaCosta) Spivey of Mt. Vernon and Jim (& Julie) Spivey of Lexington; his daughter: Kristina Spivey (& Brett Knipp) of Morehead; two brothers: Garry (& Cheryl) Spivey and Bobby Spivey; seven grandchildren: Debbie (& Aaron) McElroy, Hunter Spivey, Macy Spivey, Katie Knipp, Logan Knipp, Jacob Spivey and Jackson Spivey; his great grandson: Tarren McElory and several uncles, aunts, nephews, nieces and cousins. Ricky was also preceded in death by his brother Larry Spivey. Funeral Services will be conducted at 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, March 24, 2015, at the Combs, Parsons & Collins Funeral Home with Joe Spivey officiating. Burial will follow in the Richmond Cemetery. Visitation will be 5:00 – 9:00 P.M. Monday at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be his sons, his brothers and other friends.
