Tho Ly Pham

SPRING VALLEY — Tho Ly Pham, age 79, of Spring Valley, Ohio passed away Tuesday, January 11, 2022 at his residence. He was born in Canton, China. Tho is survived by his wife: Mui Ly (Phu) Pham; whom he married December 20, 1968; 4 sons: Hoa (Leah) Pham of Xenia; Phu (Ling) Pham of Spring Valley; Quy (Erica) Pham of Springboro and Hui (Nhi) Pham of Springboro; a brother in England and a brother in Dayton; 8 grandchildren: Lauren; Colin; Cory; Chun; Yuna; Yulida; Kaylee and Jordan; as well as a host of other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents: Do T. and Mui T. (Mach) Pham, and a brother. Tho came to America in 1980 through sponsorship of the First Evangelical Lutheran Church. He was the owner of several restaurants in the area, including Wah Fu in Dayton and Sunshine Eggroll and the Athenian in Fairborn. He also was the chef at Little Saigon before joining his son's restaurant, Pho Mi in Washington Twp. Tho was an extremely hard worker. He believed his sons could have a better future if they had the opportunity for higher education and he worked to give them this chance. Funeral service will be held 11:30 AM Thursday, January 20, 2022 at First Evangelical Church, 287 W. Main St., Xenia with Rev. William O. Schwochow officiating. Friends may call at the church from 10:30 AM Thursday until the time of service. He will be buried at Friends Cemetery, Xenia. Services entrusted to McColaugh Funeral Home, Xenia.
