FAIRBORN — Virginia "Lois" Bourne, age 77 of Fairborn passed away November 29, 2024. She was born December 3, 1946 in Buchanan Co., Virginia, the daughter of the late Luther and Ruth (Johnson) Ratliff. Lois was retired from Fairborn City Schools after 27 years of service. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends; traveling to new places and reading. Lois would often listen to blue grass, gospel and country music. She loved to play jokes and had the best sense of humor. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband of 19 years, Johnny; twin sister, Joyce; four brothers, Eulis, Guy, Jerry, Benny; son-in-law, Shawn Moore; nephew, James Ratliff; and great-granddaughter, Caelyn Colon. Lois is survived by three children, Richard (Debbie) Bourne, Tammy Moore, Teresa (Rob) McIntosh; seven grandchildren, David (Dianne) Osman, Jessica Osman, Kristen (Patrick) Duncan, Katie (Warner) Moore, Alley McIntosh, Andy (Jen) Vance, Taylor Vance; nine great-grandchildren, Carter, Caiden, Rhett, Hayden, Peyton, John, Wyatt, Levi, Judah; five siblings, Wanda (Larry) Hornback, Pete (Janie) Ratliff, Linda (Edward) Tiller, Tim (Linda) Ratliff; Mildred (Leon) Boyd; as well as many dear nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. A funeral service will be held on Thursday December 5, 2024 at 12 noon at the Belton-Stroup Funeral Home, 422 E. Dayton-Yellow Springs Rd., Fairborn, Pastor H. Wesley Barnhill officiating. The family will receive friends from 11:00 A.M. until the time of service. Lois will be laid to rest at Byron Cemetery. Condolences may be made to the family at www.BeltonStroup.com.
