FAIRBORN — William (Bill) DeCloedt passed away peacefully at his home in Boise, Idaho on January 3rd. Bill was born December 27th, 1940 in Moline, Illinois. After graduating from Fairborn High School, class of 1959, Bill went to work for John Deere Plow and Planter Works in Moline, IL. Later, Bill enlisted in the United States Air Force and was an active duty Security Policeman, serving in Spain and Germany from 1961 to 1965. After leaving the Air Force with an honorable discharge, Bill went to work as a civilian for the United States Air Force, serving on multiple Programs and in various locations throughout the country. He retired from Government service at Wright-Patterson in 1994 and moved to his adopted hometown of Boise, Idaho. Bill loved Fairborn and Enon and returned often to visit with family and friends. His first stop was always Giovanni's on Main Street for a pizza and a blimp sub before hitting the National Museum of the USAF. An avid reader of newspapers, Bill also loved history and could frequently be found at his local Barnes & Noble. He also loved his pipe, his bourbon, model railroading, and a good English Murder Mystery. Bill is survived by his wife Angela (Heisey) DeCloedt (Boise, ID), sons Derek (Leslie) DeCloedt (Evergreen, CO), Scott (Chelsea) DeCloedt (Sandy, UT), a daughter Emily (Clint) Francis (San Luis Obispo CA), his grandchildren Finn, Ivy, Pfeiffer, Ian and Evan, a sister Susan (DeCloedt) Toth (Huber Heights, OH), a brother Michael (Lynn) DeCloedt (McCordsville, IN), and his faithful companion Sebastian the cat. He was preceded in death by his father Oscar DeCloedt (Fairborn), his mother Marian Edwards (Enon), and a brother Timothy. Arrangements are being handled by Summers Funeral Home in Boise, Idaho. A committal service with Military Funeral Honors will be held at the Idaho State Veterans Cemetery on Friday January 12th at 2:00PM. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to your local Humane Society.

I am saddened by the news of Bill's passing and I will miss sharing stories with him every 3 weeks on Friday mornings, like we did for the last 24 years while I cut his hair.
We would cover many issues, topics, movies, current events etc. He spoke highly of his children and thoroughly enjoyed the family visits of recent years.
He was a kind, gentleman to me always.
May you Rest In Peace Bill. My prayers go to you and your family.
