Florence Webb Obituary

Florence Irene Webb, a loving wife, mother and grandmother, passed away peacefully at her home on Tuesday, June 17, 2025, in Madison, Fla. She was born on May 18, 1932, in Atlanta, Ga., to Albert and Florence Keefe Shelhorse. Whether whipping up her famous family recipes, tending to her wildflower garden or painting, she found joy in the little things. Above all, Florence cherished the time she spent with her grandchildren, creating treasured memories that will last a lifetime. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Charles Herschel Webb.
Florence is survived by her loving sons: Mike Webb (Susan), of Evergreen, Ala., Wayne Webb and Alan Webb (Amy), all of Madison; four grandchildren: Mary Brooke Cornwell (Greg), Willis Webb (Shae), Emily Webb Staton (Colton) and Rachael Jorgenson (Bradford); six great-grandchildren; a sister, Tillie Woodyard; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends.
The funeral service was held at 11 a.m., on Sunday, June 22, at Lee Methodist Church, where Rev. Steve McHargue officiated. After the service, she was laid to rest at Stonewall Cemetery, in Lee, Fla. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Lee Methodist Church in her memory.
