Born: June 18, 1929 | Died: September 18, 2025
Dorothy Willetta Condron Blakeburn, age 96, passed away peacefully Thursday evening at Greeneville Community Hospital.
Willetta was a third generation Cumberland Presbyterian whose husband and brother were Cumberland Presbyterian ministers. She was a member of the Greeneville Cumberland Presbyterian Church.
She was born in Wagoner, Oklahoma, on June 18, 1929. Willetta graduated Magna Cum Laude from East Tennessee State University in 1977 at the age of 47. She taught third grade at Sunnyside Elementary School in Greene County, TN, for five years.
She was preceded in death by her parents: William Cecil Condron and Ada Nevada Condron; her husband: Roy E. Blakeburn; son: Robert Mark Blakeburn; brother: Dudley Condron.
Survivors include two sons: Larry Alan Blakeburn and Tony Wayne Blakeburn; four grandchildren: Krista (David) McGee, Roy (Traci) Blakeburn, Will (Kandice) Blakeburn, and Diann Blakeburn; six great-grandchildren: Emma (Kaleb) Mitchell, Ellie (Will) Ingram, Thomas McGee, Lucy Blakeburn, London Blakeburn, and Emersyn Blakeburn; two great-great-grandchildren: Millie Krista Mitchell and Phoenix John Ingram.
The celebration of life service will be on Saturday, September 27th, at Greeneville Cumberland Presbyterian Church. Visitation will be at 10 a.m. with the service following at 11 a.m. The Rev. Andy Blackwelder will officiate.
Memorials may be given to the Mobile Meals Fund of Greeneville Cumberland Presbyterian Church.
Doughty-Stevens Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
