Ginger Scudgington-Smith Obituary
Died: October 7, 2025
Ginger Scudgington-Smith, 63, of Greeneville, went home to be with the Lord Tuesday.
She was of the Baptist faith.
Ginger was employed as a machinist for many years at several manufacturing facilities.
She loved being a nana, working in the yard and riding her motorcycle.
Ginger was preceded in death by her father: Bobby Joe Scudgington; her mother: Nancy Chandler; and a brother: Craig Scudgington.
She is survived by husband: Shelton Smith Sr.; daughters Toni Hubbard and her husband, James, of Fort Waldon, Florida, and Sara Loftis of Greeneville; a son: Matthew Loftis and his wife, Lindsey, of Greeneville; step-children: Shirley Smith and Shelton Smith Jr.; grandchildren: Aden Tibbs, Kenneth Lee Hubbard, Morgan Loftis, and Madison Loftis; sisters: Robin Dean, and Martha Travis and her husband, Paul, all of Greeneville; a special friend: Tom Miller; a special cousin: Ronald Blankenship; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation hours will be 5-7 p.m. Saturday at Christian-Sells Funeral Home, Rogersville.
Funeral service will be Sunday at 2 p.m. at Persia Methodist Church with Hubert Bowman officiating.
Burial will follow in Kite Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Brandon Travis, Cody Travis, Paul Travis, Tom Miller, Shelton Smith Jr. and Mason Metcalf.
