Glen Ramey Mitchell, 57, passed away on February 2nd after extended health issues.
He was born on April 23, 1968, in Greeneville, TN. Glen was a friend to many and never hesitated to help a friend in need. He made routine house calls to friends to resolve computers problems or any other way he could help.
Glen was an avid Mustang enthusiast and owned several limited-edition Mustangs over the years including Shelby GT350s. He liked interacting with other car enthusiasts. Glen also loved flying and earned his private pilot's license in 2010. He enjoyed sharing his love by taking friends and family on flights.
Glen graduated from the ETSU Radiology Technology program and worked for 37 years at Laughlin/Ballad Hospital as a Radiological Tech and as the Administrator of Radiology Computer Systems. He was a trainer and mentor for many years for new Radiology Techs and was an adjunct Lecturer at the ETSU Radiology Tech program.
Survivors include his faithful Chihuahua, Doug; two brothers, Paul (Leigh Ann), and Roy (Melissa); nephews and nieces: Parker (Yudi), Marley, (Seth, Olive), Ryan, Lily, and Zach. He was also survived by his longtime girlfriend, Bridgette Mckinney, and her children, Jordan (Lindsay), Ellie, and Jack.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Mack and Flo Mitchell, and grandparents, Rome and Glenna Mitchell, and Paul and Ruth Quirk.
A celebration of life gathering will be held to remember Glen on April 11th from 2 – 4 pm at The General Morgan Inn. Family and friends are invited.
