Jerald Delano Huff, 85, of the Orebank community, passed away Friday at his home.
Mr. Huff was a member of the then known Pine Grove United Methodist Church, now known as Pine Grove Church.
He retired after 35 years with BASF, formerly American Enka, and was a lifetime farmer.
Mr. Huff is survived by his wife of more than 65 years: Peggy Hawk Huff; three sons and daughters-in-law: Ronnie and Jo Ann Huff, Ricky and Angela Huff, and Jerry and Tammy Huff; one grandson: Chad Allan Huff; a sister: Helen Mashburn; one sister-in-law: Barbara Hawk and Dennis Cornwell; and several nieces and nephews.
Mr. Huff was preceded in death by his parents: Wilbur Monroe and Maggie Belle Hogan Huff; two brothers: Wilbur Riley and Geneva Huff, and Wayland and Wilma Huff; two sisters: Gladys and Johnnie "Bug" Keller, and Geneva and Frank Taylor; and his mother-in-law and father-in-law: Boyd E. and Eunice Hawk.
The Huff family will receive friends from 1-3 and 5-7 p.m. Tuesday at Doughty-Stevens Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 7 p.m. in Doughty-Stevens Chapel. The Rev. Jim Fain and the Rev. Steve Ryman will be officiating.
Graveside services will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. in Pine Grove Cemetery. Everyone is asked to meet at Doughty-Stevens Funeral Home by 10 a.m. to go in procession.
Pallbearers will include Mike Keller, Marcy Keller, Devin Mashburn, Randy Mashburn, Winfred Taylor, Alford Taylor, Hank Huff, Wayland Kay Huff, and Kenneth Cornwell.
Honorary pallbearers will be the men of Pine Grove Church.
The family expresses a deep thank you to the nurses and staff of Gentiva Hospice for their special care, and his special nieces, Myra Keller, and Angel Huff.
