Patricia Ricker Obituary

Our beloved aunt, sister, and friend, Patty Ricker, passed away peacefully November 1st. Though Patty never had children of her own, she helped raise her sister's children and grandchildren as if they were her own. She gave freely of her love, time, and heart, and her fiery presence touched everyone who knew her.

A devoted member of First Church of God, Patty lived her faith through the way she cared for others. She had a giving spirit and a heart full of grace, always offering comfort, laughter, and encouragement to those around her. In keeping with her generous nature, Patty made the selfless decision at a young age to donate her body to science, continuing to help others even after her passing.

Patty is survived by her sister June Swatzell and her husband Roger, their children Roger Swatzell Jr., Stephanie and Tate Ramsey, and Farah Laws, her great-nephew Tyler and Megan Debusk, and her great-nieces Taylor Norton and Shawn Norton, Summer and Josh Frye, and Tiffany and Brad Hillman. She will forever remain in their hearts and in the hearts of all who loved her.

Family and friends are invited to a Celebration of Life in honor of Patty Ricker on December 6th from 2:00–4:00 p.m. at Hackler Hall in Towne Square. Please join us as we share memories, laughter, and love in remembrance of a beautiful life well-lived and a woman who made this world brighter simply by being in it.
