Rochelle Byrd Alexander was born in Quincy, Florida, to the late Lindsey and Pansy Green Byrd on February 22, 1962. Rochelle was the youngest of nine siblings. On Wednesday afternoon, September 17, 2025, at HCA Florida North Florida in Gainesville, Florida, the Lord called her home.
Rochelle was a graduate of James A. Shanks High School, Class of 1980. She was employed by Gwen Andrew’s Home of Success.
She leaves to cherish her precious memories; three Children: Braheem Russ (Russia), of Midway, Florida, Shevone Alexander (Phillip), Orlando, Florida and Tyrazze Ward, Sr. (Shaniqua), of Quincy, Florida: two Grandsons; ACE Ward and Tyrazze Ward, Jr.; three bonus Grandsons; Eukovi, Eudarius and Evin Smith; two Sister: Florine Byrd Butler and Pansey Byrd Hinson, both of Quincy, Florida; three Sisters-in-law: Hardy Byrd, Lillian Byrd, of Quincy, Florida and Mable Byrd of Bainbridge, Georgia; one Aunt: Hardwick Walker of Quincy, Florida; one Uncle: Albert Byrd of Quincy, Florida; special Cousins: Flossie Byrd of Quincy, Florida and Verlon Gooding (Wayde) of Plantation, Florida; along with a host nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Rochelle was preceded in death by her Parents: Lindsey and Pansey Byrd; one Grandson: Darnell Johnson, Jr.; five Brothers: Joe Sr., Nathaniel, Walter, James, and Danny; and one Sister: Grandulene.
