Ronnie F. Babb, 69, passed away Sunday at his home.
Ronnie was an honorable discharged Vietnam Veteran.
He was a Patron of the community. He became the Chief of the DeBusk Volunteer Fire Department, a Volunteer for the Greeneville and Greene County Rescue Squad as well as he served as an EMT for Greene County for 25 plus years. Before retirement he was part of the Response One team in South Greene.
He is survived by his wife: Nickie Babb; two daughters and one son: Shana Hawkins of Kansas City, Missouri, Jeremy Babb of Greeneville, and Tabitha Babb of Johnson City; grandchildren: Mykayla and Aidan, both of Kansas City; a sister: Brenda Ruth Brown; a sister-in-law: Tina Ridha; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents: Herman and Fannie Johnson; his parents: Jack and Dorothy Babb; and a brother and sister: Donnie Brown and Robin Snapp.
The family expresses a special thank you to Gentiva Hospice, Cornerstone, and Smokey Mountain Medical Equipment.
There will be a Celebration of Life held at a later date.
