Ken Babb Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Fletcher Funeral & Cremation Service - Fountain Inn on Mar. 1, 2026.
Kenneth Lamar Babb, age 87, passed peacefully into the presence of his Lord and Savior on February 28, 2026 surrounded by his family.

A faithful servant of Christ, he lived his life with quiet strength, steady devotion, and unwavering faith. For 60 years, he served his church faithfully as a leader, teacher, soloist and deacon, pouring his heart into teaching God's Word and guiding others with wisdom and compassion. His greatest joy was serving the Lord and loving his family well.

He dedicated 35 years of his professional life as a car salesman, where he built not only a successful career but lasting friendships. A man of integrity, he treated both customers and colleagues with respect and fairness and was known for his strong work ethic and warm smile.

He loved music, playing golf, watching his grandsons play baseball, and cheering for the South Carolina Gamecocks.

Above all, he was a devoted husband to his beloved wife, Betty Adams Babb, and cherished their 65 years together. He was a proud father to his two daughters Rhonda Orr (Mart) and Tammy Wimmer (Lee), a loving grandfather to six grandsons, Kent (Jamie), Kyle (Courtney), Trey (Paige), Keith (Mary Grace), Ty (Hope) and Heath (Courtney); and eighteen great-grandchildren. His family was his earthly joy, and he leaves behind a legacy of faithfulness, kindness, and steadfast trust in the Lord.

"Well done, good and faithful servant." - Matthew 25:23

A celebration of his life will be held at Standing Springs Baptist Church, Simpsonville on Tuesday, March 3, 2026 at 11:00 a.m.
