Lisa Ann (Farmer) Meek of Greenfield, Indiana passed away peacefully on Wednesday, November 12, 2025, at IU Methodist Hospital at the age of 60. She was a lifelong caretaker of her family and a devoted grandmother.
Born on September 30, 1965, to the late Thurman P. Farmer and Mary Lou (Shoemake) Farmer, Lisa grew up in Mohawk, Indiana. She graduated from Greenfield-Central High School in 1984. On July 5, 1986, Lisa married the love of her life, Jon K. Meek.
Lisa was a quintessential caretaker whose greatest joy in life was giving to and caring for others. Her kindness and generous spirit touched everyone she met. During her years of employment, she dedicated several years to the cleaning business, even proudly owning her own service, Meek's Cleaning. She later worked in the cafeteria at Hancock Regional Hospital before ending her career at Kroger in Greenfield. For more than 15 years, she cherished her interactions with customers at Kroger and especially enjoyed working in the floral department, creating beautiful arrangements.
Beyond her work, Lisa's life was centered on her family and her creative passions. She had a deep, loving bond with her grandchildren, lan and Ivy, who were the light of her life. She was an avid crafter, spending countless hours crocheting warm blankets for her loved ones, working on diamond art paintings, and putting together puzzles. Earlier on in life, she also enjoyed sketching and drawing. Lisa had a soft spot for animals, especially German Shepherds. Throughout her life she cared for an array of beloved pets. Music was "therapy for her soul", and some of her fondest memories were attending concerts for her favorite artist, Bob Seger. She also loved to read and listen to audiobooks, enjoying the experience of being transported to different worlds through literature.
Lisa is survived by her loving husband of more than 40 years, Jon K. Meek, of Greenfield, Indiana; her cherished daughter, Mary Louise Meek (Eric Brown) of Greenfield, Indiana; and her beloved grandchildren, lan James Meek-Brown and Ivy June Meek-Brown.
She is also survived by her sisters, Linda Broyles of Markleville, Indiana, Patty (Tom) Egerton of Ingalls, Indiana, and Pam Field of Greenfield, Indiana; her sisters-in-law Paula S. Corbin of Campbellsville, Kentucky, and Fawn Minchin of Greenfield, Indiana; her brothers-in-law, Gary (Susan) Meek of Greenfield, Indiana, and Robert D.
