Ruby Lorraine Curtis

Ruby Lorraine (Keslar) Curtis, 98, of West Lafayette, passed away on Saturday, December 13, 2025, at University Place. She was born on June 30, 1927, in Jacobs Creek, Pennsylvania, to the late William and Arzetta (McConnell) Keslar.

Ruby married John A. Curtis Sr. on March 31, 1951, and he passed away on April 29, 1989. She lived in Greenfield, Indiana, until she relocated to West Lafayette in 2019. Ruby was primarily a homemaker, but was very involved in community activities, including Psi Iota Xi philanthropic sorority and Meals on Wheels. In earlier days, she modeled for L.S. Ayres & Company. She continued modeling for local boutiques and in hair style shows through the years.

Ruby is survived by her children, Amy D. (Alan) Karpick and John Addison (Susan) Curtis Jr.; grandchildren, Reid A. Karpick and Hayley C. Karpick; Justin Stanley (Jessica) and Landon Stanley; and great-grandchild, Jaden Stanley.

In addition to her parents and husband, Ruby was preceded in death by her sisters, Velva Young and Alberta Ford, and a brother, Emerson Keslar.

Visitation will be on December 31, 2025, 9:30-11:00 a.m. at St. Michael's Catholic Church, 519 Jefferson Blvd., Greenfield, IN. A funeral Mass will follow at 11:00 a.m.
