Bernice Woodlief Obituary
January 14, 1949 - February 8, 2024
Bernice Elizabeth Brown Woodlief, 75, passed away on Thursday, February 8, 2024 at the Hospice Home surrounded by her loving family. A native of Guilford County, she was the daughter of the late James Vadis and Lillie Sutton Brown and was married for over 50 years to the love of her life James Clifton Woodlief, who passed away in 2022.
Bernice Retired from Pass & Seymour Corporation as a Box Line worker after many years of service. She enjoyed spending time at the beach with her family. She will be remembered as a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend to many.
Bernice was survived by her children, Ray Brown and wife Mary, Kenneth Woodlief and wife Jenny, Tony Woodlief and Tonya Wilson; grandchildren, Sherri Woodlief, Christy Childress and husband Patrick and Dillon Wilson; great grandchildren, Cheyenne Heins, Gaberial Heins, Grace Kay Childress, Payton Gaddy, Delilah Gaddy, Rayleigh Gaddy, Serenitee Childress, Patrick "PJ" Childress, Jr. Colton Wilson and Conner Wilson; step grandson, Chirstopher Lundy; brothers, Willard Brown and wife, Carolyn, David Brown and wife, Janice. She was preceded in death by husband, James "Rabbit" Woodlief; granddaughter, Jessica Woodlief; parents, James and Lillie Brown; brothers, Donald Brown, Larry Brown and Boyd Brown, Levon James Brown and Curtis Brown.
A service to celebrate her life will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, February 10, 2024 at Lowe Funeral Home by Rev. Tommy Marley. The family will receive friends from 12:30 to 1:45 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.
