Chad Langdon Obituary

CHARLOTTE Chad Langdon, 35, passed away unexpectedly from a heart attack on November 27, 2016. He was born on December 22, 1980 in Greensboro, NC.Chad attended Duke's TIP program for three years during middle school and high school. He graduated from Page High School in Greensboro, during which time he earned the Eagle Scout Award. He was an entrepreneur from age eight, when he sold coffee and donuts to a construction crew in the neighborhood and it continued to today, with the tie dye business venture he was working on. Sustainability was also very important to Chad, and he was in the process of gaining a degree in solar energy management.Chad had a vibrant spirit and energy that drew people in and made everyone feel better just by being around him. He never met a stranger and he radiated love and life. Chad was a huge music fan, especially of the Grateful Dead and Widespread Panic, and he has friends far and wide that he met through his love of music. All his friends and loved ones can attest that he gave the world's best hugs. He is survived by his parents, Rick and Karen Langdon of Greensboro; his sister, Courtney Langdon of Charlotte; many aunts, uncles and cousins; and many, many friends.The service to honor Chad's life will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, December 4, 2016 in Harry & Bryant's "Chapel in the Oaks," 500 Providence Rd., Charlotte. The family will receive friends following the service.Memorial contributions may be made to: First Step, 1623 E.
