CHRISTOPHER MICHAEL SINGER BRANDON, MS Christopher Michael Singer, 22, passed away Saturday, March 22, 2014. A 6 p.m. memorial service will be held Thursday, March 27, 2014 at Friendly Hills Church, PCA, in Jamestown, NC. The family will receive friends at the church immediately following the service. Christopher was born in Birmingham, Alabama on December 28, 1991 to Dan and Pat Singer. He grew up in Greensboro and graduated from The Weaver Academy in 2010. He also attended East Carolina University. Christopher loved learning about philosophy and psychology. As an avid musician and music lover, he played bass with the Greensboro Youth Symphony. He was a world traveler and an accomplished snow skier. While living in Brandon, he worked in the deli department at Kroger. Most importantly, Christopher was a very generous person, always willing to listen in a non-judgmental way. His gentle, sweet spirit and dry sense of humor were just a few of his many wonderful qualities. He loved his family and was loved by them, as well as many friends. He is survived by his parents, Dan and Pat Singer. Also surviving is a sister, Genna Singer, as well as a brother, Tony Singer. Other survivors include his grandparents; Dr. James W. and Susan Singer, Dr. Carole Meshot, and Betty Gerr, aunts and uncles; Lisa and Bob Costner, Laurie Singer, Diane and Marty Gerr, cousins; Sean Costner, Grace and Singer Peel, Kenny and Heather Gerr, and a host of other family members. Special thanks to Mrs. Anita and all his co-workers in Kroger (store 497), his friends from AA, and especially his sponsor Anthony. Additionally, we would like to thank Chris' COPAC family, including Tom, Stuart, his counselors, Kenda, Lisa, Venita, Sharon and Jamie. Also, thanks to Charles Gambetta, Chris' longtime bass teacher. We would also like to thank the Insight program. You all loved him so well. Online condolences may be sent to www.forbisanddick.com.
