Clifton Lemons Obituary

Greensboro Clifton Eugene Lemons, 80, passed away Saturday, August 30, 2014.A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, September 4, 2014, at First Presbyterian Church in the Chapel with Reverend Jim Rissmiller officiating. Interment will follow at Forest Lawn Cemetery.Cliff was born on April 18, 1934 in Greensboro to the late Curtis W. Lemons and Viona Rhew "Bonnie" Fielder. He graduated from Bessemer High School and then N.C. State University. Cliff was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He retired from AMP/Tyco and was an active member of ASME. He was a loving, one-of-a-kind husband, father, and grandfather.He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Julia Lemons; sons, Mark and Scott Lemons and Dean Cheek; grandsons, Connor and Curtis Lemons and Ryan Cheek; and one brother, James Lemons.The family will receive friends from 5 until 7 p.m. Wednesday, September 3, 2014, at Forbis and Dick North Elm Street Chapel.Flowers are appreciated or memorial contributions may be made to the National Parkinson Foundation, PO Box 5018, Hagerstown, MD 21741-5018.Online condolences may be offered at www.forbisanddick.com.Forbis and Dick North Elm Street Chapel is assisting the family.
