GREENSBORO Dale Findlay Langerman died peacefully on Friday, August 12 in Greensboro at the age of 61.Dale is survived by her husband, John Langerman of Greensboro; her sons Eric (Caroline) Langerman of Charlotte and Steven Langerman of Washington DC; her stepdaughter Becky Langerman (Amy Pointer) of Brevard; her grandsons Judson Langerman and John Langerman; and her siblings Bill (Jane) Findlay of Grand Junction CO, John (Roben) Findlay of Fernandina Beach FL, and Dawn (Rick) Hollar of Perdido Key FL; her mother-in-law Kathryn Langerman of Colfax, and many others. She is preceded in death by her parents, Allan and Enid Findlay of Cornelius.Dale was born in Montreal, Canada in 1955 and raised in Charlotte. The youngest of four children, Dale spent summers on Lakes Tillery and Norman, where she developed her adventurous spirit and love of the outdoors. Dale graduated from NC State University in 1977 with a degree in business management and later received an MBA from UNCG. In Greensboro, Dale met John Langerman. They married in 1981 and enjoyed a loving 35 year marriage.Dale is remembered for her grace and grit, vivacity, keen sense of humor, and formidable one-handed backhand. She was an insatiable reader and a beacon of positivity to her family and friendsher happiest times in recent years were spent with her young grandsons. Dale was an active and dedicated member of Christ United Methodist Church and served as the Administrative Director at the First Lutheran School for Young Children for twelve years, where her leadership and warmth impacted many children and families.A memorial service is scheduled for 2 p.m. on Wednesday, August 17th, at Christ United Methodist Church in the Fellowship Center. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Dale's life.
