Dennis Serafin Obituary

Dennis Frank Serafin

February 8, 1959 - July 31, 2025

Dennis Frank Serafin left his joyful life July 31, 2025. He was born February 8, 1951 to Stephen and Caroline Serafin in Kearney, NJ.

People who knew and loved Dennis describe him as larger than life and one of a kind. He took charge of the neighborhood playground at an early age, earning the nickname Sarge.

He proudly served in the United States Navy during the Vietnam era.

Dennis woke each day with an optimistic outlook for the day and he ended each day being happy.

Dennis leaves behind his beloved wife, Dottie Lohr Serafin, who never for one minute doubted his love for her, his daughter Elizabeth Serafin Sieburg, who he loved "more than anything in the whole wide world," son-in-law, Dave Sieburg, grandson Chase Sieburg, granddaughter Sadie Sieburg, sisters Debra Hacker and Donna Moorman, sister-in-law, Beverly Serafin, sister-in-law and brother-in-law Jackie and Ronald Pugh, nephews Stephen Hacker, Brian Serafin, Matthew Moorman and nieces Danielle Konopka and Melissa Smith.

He was pre deceased by his parents Caroline and Stephen Serafin, brother David Serafin, son, Christopher Serafin and stepson Ricky McGehee.

Those who were lucky enough to know and love Dennis feel that their world has lost some of its sparkle and joy.

The family will host a Celebration of Life at a date to be announced.
