GREENSBORO Mrs. Grey Causey Collins, age 85, went home to her Heavenly Father on Sunday, September 18, 2016.A funeral service will be 3 p.m. Thursday at Burnett's Chapel United Methodist Church. Burial will follow at Guilford Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 1 to 3 p.m. Thursday at the church.Grey was born September 20, 1930 in Greensboro, NC to the late Henry C. and Nellie J. Causey. She was a lifelong member of Burnett's Chapel United Methodist Church. She kept nearly 50 children in her lifetime, and taught many more in Sunday school because of her great love and compassion for them. For many years, she was employed with Blue Bell Corporation in Greensboro.In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond C. Collins, sons Clyde E. Collins and Stephen C. Collins, and five siblings.Mrs. Collins is survived by her daughters, Linda C. Davis and Judy C. Brown; brother Paul S. Causey (Mary); grandchildren Dawn D. Searcy (Troy), Brian K. Davis (Susan), Scott A. Brown, and Amber N. Misenhiemer; great-grandchildren Haley D. Searcy, Jacob R. Cable, Eli L. Davis, and Kylie R. Misenhiemer. Also surviving are many nieces, nephews, and cherished friends.Memorial donations can be made to Burnett's Chapel United Methodist Church, 1112 Burnetts Chapel Rd., Greensboro, NC 27406.Special thanks to all of her caregivers at Wesley Long Hospital, and High Point Hospice of the Piedmont.George Brothers Funeral Service is assisting the Collins family.
