Harold Stratton Obituary

REIDSVILLE HAROLD THURSTON STRATTON, 76, PASSED away peacefully at his home surrounded by his family on April 9, 2016.Thurston worked most of his life in the automobile industry, retiring as the owner of Auto Pro. After retirement, he enjoyed spending time on his farm with family and friends and loved having oyster roasts there. He was an avid music fan, playing guitar and singing with family and friends and loved bluegrass. He was preceded in death by his parents, Howard and Madie Stratton, two brothers, three sisters, a great granddaughter and his best dog Sam.He leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife: Joy Dye Stratton, daughters: Deborah Moore (Nootsie), Renee Caulder, Reata Hamilton (Gary), Darlene Chapmon (Tony), grandchildren: Josh Austin (Starlett), Jake Austin (Christi), Justin Maynard, Heather Hamilton (fianc? Mark), Brittany Lamb (Chris), Kamryn Setliff (Abe) and 11 great grandchildren.There will be no formal visitation. Family and friends will be received at the home. A memorial service will follow at a later date.In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the charity of your choice.
