Herbert Jones Obituary
June 21, 1931 - April 20, 2021
Herbert C. "Herb" Jones, 89, of Pleasant Garden, passed away on April 20, 2021 at Moses Cone Hospital. Graveside services will be held on Sunday, April 25, at 2 p.m. at Tabernacle United Methodist Church.
A native of Guilford County, Herb was born on June 21, 1931, to Flavious and Lille Jones. He worked at Blue Bell/VF Corporation for 36 years and was a loyal member of the Woodmen of the World fraternal organization for over 50 years. Herb loved to spend time with his family, enjoying many a night with friends and family around a campfire on one of their many camping adventures, or spending time at their place on the beach at Oak Island. Herb was also a member of Tabernacle United Methodist Church.
Surviving are his wife of 64 years, Sandy Jones, of the home; 3 children: Karla Tester (Skip), Lisa Jones, and Kevin Jones; 2 grandchildren: Kallie Peddycord (Chris) and Lukas Tester; and 2 great-grandchildren: Addie and Alex Peddycord.
In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to either Tabernacle United Methodist Church or St. Jude.

Sad for you guys, missing Herb here, but glad he's finally whole again and free of this world's struggles. Herb was my buddy and we had plenty of laughs together back in the Wrangler days. I know he's with Herb 'n Jo Lemons now, jokin' about school years and such. Probably ridin' that dang bike all over Heaven, too. ;) Love y'all, Greg

Mrs. Jones and family. So sorry for your lost. I too feel your lost, because I lost my husband e years ago on April 12th. Prayers for comfort and peace and that comes with time. Your banker of years ago.

My sympathy to Sandy and the family. I had the fortune of being Herb's Physical Therapist. The privilege was the fact of being able to witness the strong will and spirit of this man. He did everything that was asked of him to improve strength and balance and even did his homework. He also kept his sense of humor and joy of life intact during the struggles of therapy. I will miss him but will never forget him. He is certainly an inspiration.
