It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Jayda "Jay" Stafford Cromartie, who departed this life on April 11, 2025, at the age of 25. Born on June 26, 1999, in the District of Columbia, Jay was a beloved son, brother, and friend whose presence will be deeply missed by all who knew him.Jay spent his formative years in North Carolina, where he graduated from North East Guilford High School. He went on to work at the Harris Teeter Distribution Center, where he was known for his dedication and strong work ethic. A man of many interests, Jay had a deep passion for music and was an avid reader, particularly drawn to topics of health, wellness, and spirituality. He held a profound respect for the earth and the universe, which was reflected in his daily life. Jay was also committed to maintaining his physical well-being, often spending time working out and taking care of his body.
A Memorial Service to honor Jay's life will be held on Monday, April 21st, at 1:30 p.m., at Triad Cremation. Family and friends are invited to gather and celebrate the life of a remarkable young man who touched the lives of many.Jay's spirit will live on in the memories of those who loved him, and his legacy of kindness, curiosity, and strength will continue to inspire all who were fortunate enough to know him.
