Jerry Wayne Robertson, Sr., 65, of Eden, passed Thursday, June 2, 2022, at his home.
A funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Monday, June 6, at Fair Funeral Home Chapel in Eden with burial to follow at Mountain View Cemetery in Ridgeway, VA. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service, from 1 to 2 p.m. For those unable to attend the service, Jerry will lie in repose 12:30 to 4:30 p.m. Sunday, June 5, at Fair Funeral Home in Eden.
Jerry was born October 11, 1956, in Pittsylvania County, VA, to the late Oliver Kyle Robertson and Eleanor Samuels Robertson. He was a graduate of Rockingham Community College. Jerry owned and operated Turner Furniture in Eden until his retirement. He was a member of Willis Memorial Baptist Church in Cascade. Jerry loved his church and helping people. He served on the Board of Directors for Draper Volunteer Fire Department. He loved fishing and enjoyed spending time at his lake house.
Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife, Sue Carter Robertson of the home; sons, Jerry Wayne Robertson, Jr. (Ashley) of Eden, Travis Wayne Robertson of Eden; daughters, Sandy Robertson Gantt of Greensboro, Amanda "Mandy" Turner (Andy) of Ridgeway, Linda Weadon of Eden, Laurie Haley of Eden; brother, James "Mike" Robertson of Shenandoah; sisters, "Kathy" Marie McBride of Danville, "Janet" Lee R. Eshbough (James) of Titusville, FL; Dawn Hutchinson of Rock Hill, SC; 10 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.

Jerry was a great guy. I just got to know him during the last 8 years or so. He was a fabulous businessman and knew how to run a retail store. I enjoyed getting to know him.
Now he sits in the throne room of God. Before him is the Father and the Son. He gets to worship our Lord for eternity along with the 24 elders (whoever they are), the angels, and all the rest of those that have gone on before him. That we can smile at. Blessings to Jerry's family.

Ive only had 2 father figures in my life jerry sr was the 2nd man i was blessed to hv met that i looked up to in that manner. he gave whole heartedly to everyone that needed help he spent his life doing for everyone leaving his own wants and needs last on his to do list. it hurts to know he has gone but his glory was called to be with God and that is perfect! Jerry sr. is fishing with the Lord on the Lords lake with a gold rod, hold my spot for me please for my work isnt done yet. Dont catch all those heavenly fish before those who love u join u. Thank u for ur influance and example but more so thank u for not judging me for my apperance u saw my heart and i will never forget that you were wise and one of the best men to leave this world better than it was before u. Thank You Jerry for being Thank You God for making men like Jerry! We Love You n will keep the memories for the rest of my days i miss u being but i know the glory you have gone to and that u stay forever in the hearts of us who love you.
