Joe Moore Obituary
Joe Louis Moore, the son of the late Claude and Ella Moore, was born June 2, 1941 in Greer, SC. He departed this earthly life on Tuesday, Nov. 1, 2022.
Joe Louis Moore went to Greenville County, SC County school system. He retired from Ryder Trucking Company after 27 years of service. He was the owner of J&R Tire Company.
He was a member of Sharp Rd. COC in Greensboro, NC, where Julius Greene was his minister, where Dr. Nicolas Glenn currently resides.
His devotion to his family was extraordinary. He was always there for each of them. Joe was a warm, friendly person. His compassion and concern for others won him many dear friends. He will be truly missed.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife Rosa Lee Moore, and infant son Joe Lee Moore, grandson Michael Moore, Jr., brothers Bob and Harold Moore and son-in-law John Strickland.
He is survived by his wife Rosa Moore of Greensboro, NC; son Michael Moore, Sr. (Michez); three daughters, Carolyn, Shellgray Court, SC; Sharon Croft (Rick), Piedmont, SC; Mary Sue Strickland, Greenville, SC; nine grandchildren, 19 great-grandkids, stepsons Shawn and Donnie Pinson (Lakeisha), with an additional 13 grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.
His funeral service will be held at Sharpe Road Church of Christ, 2400 Sharpe Rd., Greensboro, NC on Saturday, November 5, 2022 at 11:30 a.m. with visitation starting 30 mins. prior. Services entrusted to Woodard Funeral Home.

Mr. Joe was one of the warmest, sweetest most caring men I´ve ever met. He literally cared for everyone & would do any thing for any body. A grandfather to all of the children & a father figure to many adults. He will definitely be missed by so many. My prayers & deepest condolences to all who´ve ever met him as you were his friend/family. You´ll never be forgotten. Mr. Joe.
