John David Miller, 73, of Burlington, passed away Monday, October 19, 2020 at his residence. David was born in Alamance County to Robert Charles and Deloris Qualls Miller, both deceased. He was retired co-owner of Orange Truss Co. Serving the Asheboro community, David built many strong relationships and was involved with the Asheboro Home Builders Association for many years. David carried a loving passion in his heart for many things, including golf, building all kinds of things, working in the yard, and riding his Harley. All of these things meant a lot to David but none surpassed the love in his heart for his family. He was a member of Carolina Christian Church and was a veteran of the United States Navy.

David is survived by his wife, Judy Lewis Miller of the home; daughter, Christy Miller Staley (Jody) of Burlington; stepson, Jason McCall (Aundrea), of Greensboro; grandchild, Logan Staley; step-grandchildren, Jared and Ashlyn McCall; brother, Tim Miller (Linda) of Burlington.

In addition to his parents David is also preceded in death by his sister, Jeanette Miller Toney.

A funeral service will be held Thursday, October 22, at 2 p.m. in the McClure Funeral Home Chapel in Graham. Officiating will be Rev. Mark Mitchell. Burial with military honors will follow in Alamance Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 Wednesday evening at McClure Funeral Home in Graham. Other times they will be at the residence.
