May 28, 1931 - May 7, 2024
Juanita Atkins McCormick,, 92, passed away May 7, 2024, at Kerner Ridge Assisted Living. She was born to the late Willie Dale and Mary Lou Noah Atkins.
Juanita loved her Lord and was a member of Northwest Baptist Church for more than 40 years. She retired from Sears, Roebuck & Co after 30 years.
In addition to her parents, Juanita was predeceased by her husband of 63 years, Richard "Mac" McCormick; brothers Colon and Hubert; and sister Betty Glass.
Those surviving to cherish her memory are her daughter, Marilyn Morgan (Ron); grandson Zach Morgan (Abbey); granddaughter Hillary Nazareth (Savio); great-grandsons Beau Morgan, Baylor Morgan, and Trent Nazareth. Brothers Woodrow (Pat), Charles (Sue) and Wayne (Becky). Sisters Avahleen Dowdy, Hilda Coleman, and Irene Johnson. Sisters-in-laws Patsy Atkins and Ronda Atkins. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly.
A graveside service will be held Monday May 13, 2024, at 4 p.m. at Northwest Baptist Church Cemetery, 3605 Edgefield Road officiated by her niece, Reverend Kim Fowler. A time of visitation will take place one hour prior to the service in the church sanctuary.

Juanita's loving smile and contagious giggle will remain with us until we are ALL together again.

Loved Miss Juanita! My favorite memory was when her siblings brought her tomatoes from their garden. We made sandwiches, she loved it!! She will truly be missed by her Kerner Ridge family.
